First Game Thoughts

I am having a lot of fun learning my way around the RPG maker engine. I like how it isn’t very hard on the computer system, and that laying out a story can be quick and let me get my ideas out very fast.

I am likely going to add on to the first installment of the Beautiful Kingdom series, and I am really desiring to stay with the defaults that RPG maker has given. It’s a creative restraint that I think is worth exploring, and the engine “as is” seems to offer a lot.

The world of Valnuk in the game can be expanded on quite largely, and I think that more attention to side quests and discoverable areas is needed in this game. I have been learning how to map more effectively over my time with the engine.

To my surprise, many of the games’ players seem to like the exploration aspects of the game. It was more of an afterthought at first, but I suppose there is a charm to exploring a new world.

So please follow my game and see what’s happening with it over time. I am hoping to make it entertaining while I shop and edit it to be a stronger world.
